Ulaanbaatar forum I

Ulaanbaatar Forum for East Asia is a regional forum under the tutelage of the President of Mongolia and to be held once in two years in Ulaanbaatar, capital city of Mongolia. The Forum was inaugurated in February 24,  2006 in Ulaanbaatar to promote networking, dialogue and research towards the deeper integration of Mongolia to Northeast Asia, and to wider East Asian region. The Forum is also committed  to promoting mutual understanding and trust among the peoples of Northeast and Southeast Asia, as well as Central Asia.

Ulaanbaatar Forum is the product of six- year long project “Role of Mongolia in the peaceful and stable Northeast Asia” which was implemented by the Mongolian Development Research Center (MDRC) supported financially by the Sasakawa Peace Foundation of Japan.
Ulaanbaatar Forum is intended to strengthen Mongolia’s international and regional profile and enhance its national capacity to play more active and meaningful role in East Asian region. Forum membership is extended to interested individuals and institutions both in Mongolia and in the region. The Forum's secretariat is located at Mongolian Development Research Center, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
