Introduction to The Mongolian Development Research Center

The Mongolian Development Research Center (MDRC) was established in January 1998 as a non-profit  and non-governmental organization (NGO) and registered at the Ministry of Justice, Mongolia.

The main objectives of the Center are:

to promote the knowledge of development economics in Mongolia and
- to bring together scholars and specialists who are working on formulating a long-term development concept for Mongolia which is based on a comprehensive manner considering geography, culture, tradition, nomadic way of life, and current economic profile of Mongolia.

Activity areas of MDRC


a/ Development Research:
MDRC organizes working  groups on a non-permanent basis in order to undertake research activities on selected problems of Mongolia’s development.

b/ Development Training:
MDRC conducts short-term seminars and training courses in order to raise the skills of national development economics specialists.

c/ Development experts support:
MDRC is willing to support the process of training of the national experts on development economics through small grants and other means.

d/ Development Education:
MDRC is committed to popularize development economics knowledge by disseminating information through national media and its own publications, by guiding students diploma works and dissertations for raising the national awareness of development needs.
